Goat Song Records is a new stand-up comedy label headquartered in Nashville. As a boutique, exclusive label, its focus will be on quality over quantity- working with established and emerging artists through catalog management, “from-video” audio projects, and original recordings.

Goat Song Records celebrates the craft of comedy, the art of joke writing, and the magic of performance. Stand-up comedy is a collection of exaggerations and skillful lies– an ethical gray area of creative insincerity designed to lead you into surprise and delight. It plays with your beliefs, manipulates your assumptions, and tests your tolerance. It is not a safe space.

Goat Song will actively promote intelligent, unique, brilliant, transgressive material designed for discriminating comedy fans, with a contemporary social media strategy and a focus on building a like-minded community of fans. Our world will be an oasis of smart comedy- a respite from car-seat TikTokers and one-trick crowd-work ponies. Working with comics such as Patton Oswalt, Margaret Cho, Dana Gould, Jena Friedman, Robert Hawkins, and Arj Barker will establish Goat Song as a premier label with its soul rooted in the tradition of comedy masters.
